We use technical vegetable oils as the raw materials for our products.
The rapeseed oil we use differs from the rapeseed oil used in cooking. It is generated, among other ways, as a by-product of agricultural feed production processes. We therefore make use of vegetable oils that are not suitable for food production. Our operations strongly support the principles of the circular economy, as this surplus vegetable oil would otherwise go to waste. Using vegetable oil-based products is therefore a practical and tangible environmental choice.
One of the most important properties of rapeseed oil is its positive polarity. This helps the oil adhere to the chain and guide bar for longer. Our rapeseed oil-based products also protect your equipment and help keep it in good working condition for longer. Thanks to their good viscosity index, EKO 100 lubricants can be used throughout the year.
Our products are also highly efficient, providing your equipment with excellent lubrication properties. Efficiency is important for economically sustainable operations, as it helps reduce ongoing operating costs. Tests show that our products have 30–40% lower consumption than comparable mineral oils.
Our rapeseed oil-based products are naturally non-toxic. They contain no toxic additives, making them safe for both users and the environment. During equipment maintenance, accidental contact with the skin does not cause harm or pose a hazard. If the product enters the environment, it is fully biodegradable and can be naturally broken down.
The rapeseed oil we use is produced in Finland. Rapeseed cultivation has a strong position in Finnish agriculture, and sourcing our raw materials locally benefits us all.
