Up to 40% Lower Consumption Compared to Mineral Oil-Based Chain Oils
EKO 100 chain oils are highly efficient, meaning that large quantities of lubricant do not need to be transported to the forest by tanker truck. Smaller amounts are sufficient to meet the needs of an entire work shift, reducing the effort, time and costs involved.
Extensive tests carried out with forestry machines have produced excellent results in terms of the efficiency of plant-based lubricants. When using conventional mineral oils, as much as 6–10 litres of oil may be consumed during a normal 8-hour work shift. With EKO 100 oils, only a fraction of this amount is needed.
In forestry machine tests, EKO 100 Voiteleva Chain Oil consumed 3–4 litres during an 8-hour work shift, which is approximately 40% less than with mineral oil-based chain oils. Thanks to the product's properties, the oil flow can be adjusted to a lower setting, further reducing consumption.
The quantities are naturally different when cutting with a chainsaw, but consumption is nevertheless lower with EKO 100 oils, as the tests demonstrate.
Up to 90% Lower Consumption with Greasoil in Forestry Machine Tests
When testing Greasoil, designed for grease lubrication systems, only 0.6 kg of oil was consumed during an 8-hour work shift – meaning consumption was just one-tenth of that of mineral oil-based chain oils. Although Greasoil is an oil, it requires a central lubrication dispenser because quantities as small as one gram are dispensed repeatedly. When Greasoil was tested in conventional oil lubrication systems, consumption was just 1.14 litres during an 8-hour work shift, which is also remarkably low.
A high-quality oil provides effective lubrication even in small quantities, resulting in better performance and lower operating costs.
Based on these test results, switching to plant-based lubricants can be an easy and economical choice.
