Suitable for Use in Both Summer and Winter

In Finland and other Nordic countries, the four distinct seasons mean that temperatures and working conditions can vary considerably throughout the year.

In winter, temperatures can drop well below freezing, while in summer, long-awaited periods of heat can bring very warm conditions. For many types of work, however, significant temperature fluctuations can make working more challenging. This is particularly true when operating machinery outdoors, where changes between hot and cold conditions can affect equipment performance.

EKO 100 lubricants are formulated with the varying conditions of the Nordic seasons in mind. EKO 100 oils have a high viscosity index, meaning that their viscosity changes relatively little between summer and winter. The oil maintains suitable properties in both cold and hot conditions.

Thanks to its positive polarity, the oil stays effectively on the chain and continues to provide lubrication even in hot conditions. During winter, we particularly recommend EKO 100 Voiteleva Chain Oil due to its low pour point of −27°C.
