Safe for Users and the Environment
Have you ever considered whether the lubrication of your chainsaw, forestry machine or other equipment is handled in a way that protects both nature and your own health?
When using mineral oil-based lubricants, users may be exposed to oil vapours, which, when inhaled, can increase the risk of various health problems, ranging from inflammation of lung tissue to cancer. Handling toxic oils can also cause headaches and nausea, sometimes even vomiting. Contact with the skin may cause rashes and other skin irritation. The type of lubricant you use therefore matters.
EKO 100 lubricants are made from plant-based oils, and thanks to their natural base oils and additives, the products are non-toxic. Lubricants made from rapeseed and canola oils are biodegradable, and as they break down in nature, they form substances that plants can use as nutrients. In this way, the natural cycle is maintained, while the nutrient cycle also helps keep soil fertile for new growth.
It is worth remembering, however, that burning plant-based oils also produces various emissions, including PAH compounds, which can contribute to cancer and genetic mutations. As a lubricant, however, plant-based oil is a highly safe and non-toxic alternative that does not harm our health or our invaluable natural environment.
