Rapeseed Oil Has Better Lubricating Properties Than Mineral Oils
Saw chains and chains are essentially entirely made up of joints. Mechanical joints are subjected to heavy loads while machinery is operating, which is why they require effective lubrication to function reliably and efficiently.
When lubricating joints, oil can easily be splashed around, with some of it ending up in the soil and groundwater. That is why it is essential that the oil used for lubrication biodegrades naturally and that as little oil as possible is required to achieve effective lubrication.
For this reason, toxic lubricants and oils that have already lost their lubricating properties are not a good choice for lubricating mechanical joints. If more oil is used in an attempt to improve lubrication, the result will always be more expensive for the user. A high-quality oil provides efficient lubrication with less consumption, making it more economical to use.
However, developing oils suitable for lubricating mechanical joints is not easy. The oil must remain effectively within the joints and withstand mechanical stress. The gaps between joints are very small, and if the oil's viscosity is too high, it cannot penetrate these narrow spaces during conventional oil lubrication without the pressure used in grease lubrication.
For 25 years, we have focused on researching the lubricating properties of rapeseed oil and developing the best possible lubricant. EKO 100 oils have positive polarity, whereas mineral oils, for example, have negative polarity. Thanks to their positive polarity and non-toxic additives specifically developed for plant-based oils, EKO 100 oils adhere effectively to joints, and tests have shown that less oil is required for effective lubrication.
It is worth remembering that the less oil you consume, the more economical it is to use. Even if the oil itself is more expensive than so-called low-cost oils.
